Rye Flour
This is a whole grain flour with larger bran flakes, milled to a medium coarseness. Our Rye Flour can be used in whole grain breads, to add aromatic flavor to flour blends, and is great as a sourdough starter food as it ferments vigorously. With a beautiful green cast, this flour is often used in many old-world style and dense Scandinavian breads. Used alone it will not rise as well as bread flour.
Available in: 2lb, 25lb and 50lb bags.
Used for: Whole grain rye bread, Pan loafs, or mix it with bread flour for a milder flavor and more open loaf.
